Turning a Page

I turned a page in my life this weekend. Saturday was commencement, and it was a glorious affair. Of course I’ll have to take an internship before I get my diploma, but there is still an immense sense of accomplishment that comes with the territory, like updating the resume’ and realizing that I will not be sitting in an igloo-temperature classroom in the fall. (Harding University has been known to air condition a tad more than strictly necessary.) Anyway, I have turned a page, and the book of my life is still something of a mystery. But the plot is laid out.

In the words of Solomon, “Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.”

Yes, I’ll do more than fear God and obey him, like write and travel the world, but it will always be my top priority.
